Statix have been producing music individually for a number of years between them but only been together as a team for just over a year. Coming from varied musical backgrounds – Metal, Reggae and early Drum & Bass, their sound is dark and diverse while keeping it interesting, rhythmic and not noisy. For me this is important as there are so many new producers coming into the scene trying to make a name for themselves by making horrible filthy noise rather than music. That’s enough on that topic.

last night i got the information, that statix is confirmed for the frequenzeinlauf in december. it is still a long time until then, but so you can check them out already. i first heard of them, when i was listening to mary anne hobbs radio1 show. their huge, powerful set made me go crazy while having the third beer of the night, right before leaving the house for party – but i could not leave and had to stay, the bass glued me on to the seats. i wanted to know, who this guy  is (i thought it is only one producer) or where i can get them bloody tunes. i hit statix up via myspace and was able to get them interested into playing in germany. 5 people, yeah thats right: f-i-v-e, rockin one club, that is how it’s gonna be. i am really glad, to have them guys coming over to our small festival, because pretty sure, they are about to achieve a big name for themselves within the next months…

it is official: on october 24th ganja white night will perform at the weltecho in chemnitz to make frequenzeinlauf #5 huge. the party won’t be like the other ones before: them guys have a special setup and are going to perform live on the band stage. i am very happy, to have them come to chemnitz. i love their blueberry and peace by fear releases and their freshest tune, which goes by the name gayfish is a god-damn big baller.

ok, i might be a little fast, but i think, even though that blogger.com is pretty cool, it just doesnt give me all the things i want. thats why we are moving already. by tommorrow the blog should be able to forward to www.frequenzeinlauf.com, where ill set up a nice blog backend to rock that blogging the real way.

that is a bit older mix i made a couple of months ago. it is a small on the fly mix i made while I was pretty drunk and stoked, because of the nice promos that skevist and level 67 sent me over. big up to you guys – i love them 120bpm tunes, but had to pitch them a lil up… i hope i got the tracklist right. its a pretty silent chilly mix – hope you enjoy that and barely hear in what kind of mental state i was at, mixing that thing.

this is the first blog post in my life. after hours of twittering and posting updates on facebook and myspace i decided, that we might want to take everything a step further into all the web2.0 things. well, i am actually not that type of a computer nerd, who is sitting in front of the screen the whole day and needs to share certain views with a world he barely knows, but my job allows me to be online almost the whole day – and sometimes i have the time to find cool stuff, which i dont want to keep to myself.
