Pirate Soundsystem have been up there with our favourite producers for a good couple of years now and we´re  always excited to hear new stuff from them. The new stuff this time is an EP coming out in a couple of weeks on Coin Operated Records who have had the likes of Kanji Kinetic, L-Vis 1990, Squire of Gothos to name just a few. The EP is titled “Trip II London” which has four tracks, each to a different style but all based around ravey samples and big basslines. Ideal. It’s only a vinyl release at the moment but hopefully that’ll change.

“Jekal” is the latest in a long line of gigantic sounding dubstep stompers produced by HD4000. Statix have been producing music individually for a number of years between them but only been together as a team for just over a year. Coming from varied musical backgrounds – Metal, Reggae and early Drum & Bass, their sound is dark and diverse while keeping it interesting, rhythmic and not noisy. For me this is important as there are so many new producers coming into the scene trying to make a name for themselves by making horrible filthy noise rather than music. That’s enough on that topic.

PropaTingz is a propa fellow who dabbles in perfecting the art of glitched bass music. Since being converted from his old Breakbeat ways he has taken an interesting angle on Dubstep. San Fran’s scene of Glitchhop and suchlike has obviously been a big influence but he has UK Bass sown into his seams.

Kode Dubstep steht diesmal, pünktlich zum Jahrestag des Mauerfalls, im Zeichen der wachsendendeutschen Produzentenszene. Twisted, Teil der Dutty Dubs Crew, ist DJ seit 1993 und Dubstepproduzent seit 2006. Inzwischen ist er auf englischen Labels eine feste Größe und Tracks wie “Dirt Cluster” bekommt man auch in Ruskos Sets zu hören. Sowohl seine Tracks als auch die Dutty Dubz Mixsets gehören zum international bekanntesten was die deutsche Dubstepszene zu bieten Bukez Finezt hat, genau wie Twisted, als DnB-Produzent begonnnen, eine Leidenschaft, die er als ‘Chaffa’ immernoch verfolgt. Er bezeichnet sich auch schonmal “Germany’s Next Top Wobble” und arbeitet erfolgreich daran, seine Tracks in der internationalen Dubstepszene zu verteilen. Die abwechslungsreichen und synkopierten Sounds kann man auf Labels wie Barish Records, BassPunch Records and Tuff Love Dubs hören.

this is the first blog post in my life. after hours of twittering and posting updates on facebook and myspace i decided, that we might want to take everything a step further into all the web2.0 things. well, i am actually not that type of a computer nerd, who is sitting in front of the screen the whole day and needs to share certain views with a world he barely knows, but my job allows me to be online almost the whole day – and sometimes i have the time to find cool stuff, which i dont want to keep to myself.
